World Mission Services

World Mission Services, under the direction of the Catholic Foundation, promotes the missionary spirit of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our programs foster global awareness and encourage Catholics in their baptismal call to missionary activity.

As part of the worldwide Body of Christ we join in solidarity with our sisters and brothers around the globe to provide direct services and to enable them to improve their lives. Examples of how we do this include:

  • supporting the missions
  • promoting Catholic Relief Services programs such as Operation Rice Bowl and Ethical Trade (Catholic Relief Services' fair trade program)
  • twinning relationships with other parishes
  • welcoming newcomers from other countries and cultures
  • contributing to special collections such as World and Home Missions and CRS Disaster Relief.
