Bishop Ricken to Celebrate All-School Mass on October 3, 2012

(September 26, 2012) -- Currently there are reservations for 500 students and faculty from Catholic schools in the Diocese of Green Bay to attend an all-school Mass at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at St. Francis of Assisi Parish (Waldo site) in Manitowoc. Bishop David L. Ricken is the celebrant of the Mass as part of an annual celebration of the gift of Catholic schools. This year it will be hosted by the Southeast DASA, (Diocesan Association of School Administrators), region at St. Francis of Assisi Parish (Waldo site) in Manitowoc.

Each school is invited to bring up to 12 people for the celebration. The theme this year is Catholic Schools Raise the Standards. A student from each school will process in with a candle. At the end of the liturgy, a student from each school will pick up another school’s candle and will pray for the fellow school throughout the year. Approximately 175 students staying at St. Francis of Assisi School for lunch following the Mass.
