'Renewed in Christ' Theme for Annual Diocesan Fund-raiser

2012-Bishops-Appeal-Logo-smGREEN BAY, Wis. (Feb. 3, 2012) -- Catholics in Northeastern Wisconsin are being invited to support numerous ministries and services of the Diocese of Green Bay by giving to the 2012 Bishop's Appeal.

The Appeal helps support Catholic Charities, the diocesan Departments of Education and Stewardship and Pastoral Services and other ministries that bring the Word of God to people. This year's theme is "Renewed in Christ." The 2012 Bishop's Appeal begins Feb. 4-5.

Bishop David Ricken Calls on Area Catholics to Fight HHS Ruling on Religious Liberty

Ricken today released a letter to be read at all Masses this weekend that calls on Catholics to renew opposition to a recent Administration decision that, he said, "negatively impacts the Church in the United States directly, and that strikes at the fundamental right to religious liberty for all citizens of any faith."
