Evangelization: Catholic Style!
What does it mean for a Catholic to evangelize?
"Evangelize" means to share our faith, to bring the Good News of Jesus into every life situation and seek the threefold conversion of: ourselves, others and our entire society (Go and Make Disciples, Paragraph 10).
Unfortunately, most Catholics think it is something Protestant Christians "do." Or, said another way, most Catholics are unsure what evangelization looks like and/or how to do it.
This page was designed to provide some initial resources to help you begin to understand evangelization more fully within the context of the Catholic faith.
As this is a work in progress, feel free to submit your ideas and resources to Dr. Kristina DeNeve, Director of Evangelization and Welcoming for the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay.

FORMATION IN CATHOLIC EVANGELIZATION
Opportunity for Parishes/Groups
- What is Catholic evangelization and who are "targets" of our outreach?
- How do you recognize the "signs" that someone is ready to be "evangelized"
- How can we find better ways to express the importance of community and the Mass?
- What is the "Catholic-style" of talking about Scripture?
- How do I deal with the "sticky" questions people ask about the Catholic faith?
- How can I help fellow parishioners with these same topics so they might also evangelize?
Workshops on each of these topics are now available for your parish/group! In each workshop, your group will develop and practice evangelization techniques the "typical" Catholic is comfortable with. By the end of the workshop, participants will feel more comfortable and confident in using skills they ALREADY have.
Available in different formats, ranging from an evening to a full weekend retreat experience. Workshops must have a minimum of 8 pre-registered participants. The only cost to the parish/participants is forr the food. The Diocese will pay all costs for workshop materials. Workshops take place at your parish, anywhere within the Diocese!
