Michael Poradek, MA, MHEA, was appointed by Bishop David L. Ricken in 2015 as Divine Worship Director for the Diocese of Green Bay. His primary responsibilities include providing parish pastoral outreach, trainings, resources in the areas of liturgy and sacraments, coordination of Diocesan liturgies, and special projects with the Office of the Bishop. In 2015 he also was appointed as the first lay Master of Ceremonies for the Diocese after having served since 2009 as an Assistant Master of Ceremonies.


Michael holds an MA in Liturgical Ministry from Catholic Theological Union (Chicago, IL), Master's of Higher Education Administration from Upper Iowa University (Fayette, IA), and a BA in Political Science from St. Norbert College (De Pere, WI). He serves as Region VII Representative (WI IL, IN) on the National Board of Directors of the Federation for Diocesan Liturgical Commissions and is a member of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians. He is currently enrolled at Marian University (Fond du Lac, WI) pursuing a Ph.D. in Administration and Leadership with a concentration in Leadership Studies. 

Prior to his appointment, Michael served as Campus Minister for the Diocese at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Residence Hall Director at Lawrence University, and Interim Assistant Director of Residence Life at Upper Iowa University. Originally from Oconto Falls, WI, and St. Anthony Parish, Michael currently resides in Green Bay, WI, where he serves as president of the Fireman's Park Neighborhood Association. Beyond his ministerial responsibilities, he enjoys traveling, distance running, kayaking, camping, music, and spending time with friends and family.
