Primary Responsibilities/Tasks/Roles

  • Provide pastoral care to the campus community
  • Teach the Catholic faith to members of the campus community
  • Meet people where they are at in life and let them know that they are worthwhile people who God loves so much

Holy, Engaged and Alive!

John 3:16-17. I am Catholic because "God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him."

God thinks we are worthwhile people.

I grew up in a normal family. My father Douglas and my mother Betty were both teachers at the school that I went to. I have an older brother, Todd who is married to Crystal and they have four children. I also have a younger sister, Kristin. She lives in the Twin Cities and she is a manager in a business that does engraving for items, mostly related to the funeral industry.

In addition to serving at the Newman Center, I am the priest-celebrant at St. Mark Parish in Red Granite and Sacred Heart Parish in Poy Sippi. They are both close communities that have great love. I am especially blessed by their appreciation for the ministry I bring to the parish.

Highlights of My Career

  • Hearing confessions and bringing Christ's forgiveness and healing to the wounded
  • Celebrating Mass for the first time with students at the Newman Center
  • Helping young adults to learn to pray, especially through Lectio Divina
