Holy, Engaged and Alive!

My name is Sister Laura Zelten and I am blessed to be able to serve the UWGB community as Catholic Campus Minister through the Diocese of Green Bay and Newman Club Co-Advisor.

Originally from De Pere, Wisconsin, I am a member of the Sisters of St Francis of the Holy Cross. I graduated from St. Norbert College with an undergrad in Education and a Masters of Theological Studies.

I have completed my certification in Spiritual Direction from the Franciscan Spirituality Center in La Crosse, Wis., and the Frank J. Lewis Institute for Catholic Campus Ministry. I am bilingual in Spanish and English.

I believe the role of Campus Ministry is bringing students, faculty and staff into an encounter with Jesus Christ, and helping them to nurture their relationship with Him.

I am blessed by the opportunity to provide Catholic outreach to the students of UWGB through ongoing opportunities for prayer, service, and community faith development. As a community of faith we strive to ensure that Christ's Gospel of joy is accessible to all students and as disciples they share their faith with others.

In my spare time I enjoy swimming, biking, walking, reading, baking, and I am a great cook.

Please feel free to contact me either by email, text, Facebook or at campus ministry events throughout the year!

One Thing Most People Don't Know About Me

My very first job was working at Ford's Bakery in De Pere, where we were taught "customer-first" respect and kindness. It set the stage for my religious life.
