Green Bay Men's Conference to Feature Coach Mike McCarthy as Keynote Speaker

The Catholic Diocese of Green Bay, Esto Vir, and St. Norbert Abbey will host the Green Bay Men's Conference on Saturday, March 5, 2016. The theme is "Men for All Seasons." Featured speakers will be Coach Mike McCarthy, Jim VandeHey, Fr. Peter Mitchell, Antonio Soave, and Emcee Harry Sydney. The 2016 Green Bay Men's Conference aims to meet everyday guys where they are and connect them with great speakers who demonstrate what it means to be a man of all seasons.

Coach, Outdoorsman for All Seasons

A Coach for All Seasons -- Mike McCarthy has been the head coach of the Green Bay Packers since January 2006 and led this team to a Super Bowl title with a 31-25 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV. He is a husband and father of five. Since moving to Green Bay, Coach McCarthy has immersed himself in the local community and beyond through charitable donations and participation in numerous philanthropic events.

An Outdoorsman for All Seasons -- Jim VandeHey is a husband, father of four children and co-founder of Catholic Leadership Retreats. He is a sought-after speaker for men, sharing his down-to-earth insights into spiritual growth and following the lead of the Holy Spirit. Jim also leads his own Hunting for God retreats and spiritual expeditions called Man Camp. He enjoys time bow and rifle hunting with his family, playing disc golf and coaching youth sports.

Priest, CEO for All Seasons

A Father for All Seasons -- Fr. Peter Mitchell is the pastor of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Greenville, Wisconsin. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1999 and holds a doctorate in Church History from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. Fr. Peter is a dynamic speaker who brings hope and healing to many people searching for God's love in the midst of our busy world. In his free time, Fr. Peter is an avid distance runner and enjoys coaching cross country and track at schools in his area.

A CEO for All Seasons -- Antonio J. Soave is a longtime, successful CEO in the business world who has been recently appointed as the Acting Secretary of Commerce for the State of Kansas. Beyond his professional achievements, Antonio is the founder and current Chairman of the Global Foundation of Peace through Soccer, an international non-profit organization that spreads a message of "peace through soccer." He is a former high school All-American athlete in soccer and plays ice hockey as a hobby.

Former Packer to Emcee

Emcee -- Harry Sydney played professional football for 10 seasons and coached running backs with the Packers for six. He won Super Bowl Championships with the San Francisco 49ers in 1988 and 1989 and with the Green Bay Packers as their running backs coach in 1996. When Sydney retired from the NFL he launched a nonprofit organization called "My Brother's Keeper" to make a difference in the community of Green Bay which he now called home. He and his wife have a blended family of eight children and 5 grandchildren.

The 2016 Green Bay Men's Conference will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the KI Convention Center, 333 Main St, Green Bay, WI 54301. This rate is $50 for regular attendees, $25 for high school and college students and free for priests, deacons, religious and pastors. Registration is open now through February 29, 2016.
