An altar in St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, dedicated to Our Mother of Perpetual Help, is located on the left side of the sanctuary and is the only original altar from 1881. The altar, known as the Peace altar since World War I, honors the men and women of the parish who served in the armed forces.

Wall Pays Tribute to All Who Served in US Military

The Mausoleum's Wall of Honor pays tribute to all men and women who have served in the U.S. Military during peace or conflict. This memorial boasts a flag from each war, a large American flag, and beautiful military features. The Memorial Day Service has been conducted annually since the Wall of Honor opened for Memorial Day in 1999 -- the first Veterans Wall of Honor in Northeastern Wisconsin.

"It has been a long-standing tradition at Allouez Catholic Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum to honor those who have served this great nation and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. We remember them and thank them for their faithful service,” said Mary Breivogel, Administrator of the Allouez Catholic Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum.

Includes Disabled American Veterans Color Guard
