Second Shipping Container to Collect Supplies for the Dominican Republic and Haiti

Diocese of Green Bay LogoGREEN BAY, Wis. (Aug. 8, 2017) -- The World Missions Office of the Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of Green Bay is once again sponsoring the Shipping Container Project. This project aims to collect enough supplies to fill an entire shipping container to send to the Dominican Republic and Haiti. The broad range of items needed for specific projects will directly benefit the health, well-being, and quality of life of those in these two areas of the Caribbean.

Last year, a 40-ft shipping container was filled with 18 tons of items. "The people of the Diocese of Green Bay have been so generous with this project," said Cindy St. Aubin, world missions director for the Catholic Foundation. "They gave money, they cleaned out their closets, they cleaned out their garages, they bought brand new things -- all to donate to the poorest of the poor. They are items that will greatly improve the lives of so many people. That brings me the greatest joy, seeing how giving everybody can be."
