Thousands participate in annual pilgrimage for Assumption at Shrine
Thousands of Catholics celebrated the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary August 15 at the annual spiritual pilgrimage at the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help in Robinsonville.
Bishop Robert J. Banks of the Diocese of Green Bay presided at the special outdoor Mass and rosary procession at the Shrine, near Champion, northeast of Green Bay.

New vocation director
Fr. Daniel Schuster will visit parishes and work with the Diocese's seminarians
Fr. Daniel Schuster, on August 1, became the new vocation director for the Diocese of Green Bay. As vocation director, Fr. Schuster will travel to parishes throughout the diocese where he will preach and invite and motivate the people who have a call from God.
He also will work with the seminarians in formation and live at Xavier House in De Pere, which has openings for young men in college, working or serving as volunteers, who live in community while discerning the possibility of the priesthood.

2010 Charity Challenge 5K run
Fourth annual family walk/run and pancake breakfast benefits Catholic Charities
Runners and walkers are invited to the 2010 Charity Challenge 5K Run to benefit Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Green Bay. The run will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, outside St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, Green Bay (map), and conclude in the church's center where a pancake breakfast will be served.
