2010 Charity Challenge 5K run
Fourth annual family walk/run and pancake breakfast benefits Catholic Charities
Runners and walkers are invited to the 2010 Charity Challenge 5K Run to benefit Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Green Bay. The run will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, outside St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, Green Bay (map), and conclude in the church's center where a pancake breakfast will be served.

Where: St. Francis Xavier Cathedral 139 S. Madison St., Green Bay
Cost: $18/Individual; $50/Family

Whether they walk, run or push strollers, every participant in the fourth annual family-friendly event will help Catholic Charities serve its 40,000 clients in Northeastern Wisconsin. Founded in 1918, Catholic Charities has grown to include more than 20 services, including:
- counseling
- immigration services
- family strengthening
- budget/credit counseling
- parenting
- adoption
These services have empowered families and individuals of all faiths and economic backgrounds to realize their full potential. Catholic Charities is funded by the Diocese's Bishop's Appeal, various United Way agencies, federal and state grants, and sliding scale fees.
