What is the best aspect of being at a seminary?
The best aspect of seminary is growing into what God is calling us to be. The process of entering into a deeper relationship with God, though difficult, is a fulfilling and necessary journey we must all undertake.

What do you like to do for recreation?
I like to water-ski and downhill ski when I am at home. However, at seminary I enjoy reading and going for a run on a free afternoon.

Have you had any pets in your lifetime?
While I was growing up we had a dog named Brittney, but when I was in 3rd grade she died of old age. Then my mother got a cat and we had the cat for a few years before it ran off. Most recently we had another cat that died last year. We currently do not have any pets.

What do you remember most about your Confirmation?
What I remember the most about my Confirmation is when my sponsor told Bishop Zubik that my Confirmation name was going to be Zacchaeus. Bishop Zubik stopped before anointing me and asked me why I chose that name. I told him that I chose it because even though we are all sinners, Jesus still wants to be with us. Then Bishop told me that my insight was a good mentality to have.

What is your favorite poem?
One of my favorite poems is "The Divine Image" by William Blake. I like this particular poem because it talks about how we have recourse to mercy, pity, peace, and love Wherever mercy, pity, peace, and love are present, God is also present there. It is a good reminder that just as we have received these aspects of charity, we are also to be generous in showing them to others.

What was one of the best days of your life thus far?
One of the best days of my life thus far happened earlier this summer. It started as most good days do, with Mass and prayer, and then I went to my house with a friend and we water-skied and had a blast.

Which saint should people ask to intercede for your vocation?
For my vocation, people should ask the intercession of Venerable Solanus Casey, OFM, Cap. because he is a prime example of what it means to be obedient and to follow the will of God. He was ordained only a simplex priest (this means he did not have full faculties, such as the ability to hear confessions) but did not complain, or argue, or try to get farther. He is also a great example of humility, working most of his life as a porter and sacristan.
