What is the best aspect of being at a seminary?
The best part of seminary is that it is a place which helps to form you into an authentic Catholic man, into the image of Christ.

What do you like to do for recreation?
I like playing ultimate Frisbee, Frisbee golf, running, and watching the Packers and Badgers.

Have you had any pets in your lifetime?
My family used to have a dog, Sam, who was sent to a farm when I was six years old. Sam had to leave because he ran away too often and I did not feel like taking the time to play with him and feed him. Later in life there was period in which we owned several goldfish, the highlight of which was flushing them down the toilet after they passed away.

What do you remember most about your Confirmation?
I remember being in front of Monsignor Coleman while he was putting the oil on my head, and my grandfather was behind me with his hand on my shoulder. Even though I did not really understand the experience intellectually or in my heart, to stand in front of the parish and profess that I wanted to be a Catholic, and be sealed with the Holy Spirit was a powerful experience.

What is your favorite poem?
My favorite poem is "The Catholic Sun" by Hilaire Belloc: "Wherever the Catholic sun doth shine, There's always laughter and good red wine. At least I've always found it so. Benedicamus Domino!"

What was one of the best days of your life thus far?
Sunday, February 6, 2011, was one of the best days of my life because on this day the Packers won Super Bowl XLV, ending a long reign of oppressive persecution of Packers' fans by Minnesotans in the seminary.

Which saint should people ask to intercede for your vocation?
St. John the Baptist, because he is the patron saint of my floor at the seminary and was a man who pointed others to Christ through his life: "He must increase; I must decrease."
