Catholic Charities
Life changing moments are what Catholic Charities is all about. Their staff of committed professionals focuses on working with the poorest of the poor, people who are most in need of help.
Seeking help from Catholic Charities was the first step for Anna in her
turning her life around. She was involved in an abusive relationship for twelve years.
"Anna came to us, and she had experienced a sense of loss and hopelessness," said Judy Turba, mental health counselor. "My role with her was really to help her remember who she was, that all of these things that she had been told or had been made to feel were not necessarily accurate - that she had a tremendous amount of strength that was within her."
"It is very incredible to have someone to help you… Without Judy probably at this time I would be in the cemetery," said Anna.
By making a gift to the Bishop’s Appeal, you can help people like Anna and offer them a life changing moment.

Each year through the Bishop’s Appeal countless people are helped through the ministries
and services of the Diocese.
For Anna, counseling from Catholic Charities helped save her life. With a caring heart and a counselor’s skill, Judy Turba assisted Anna in turning her life around while answering the call of Jesus to serve those most in need.
Last year our six Catholic Charities offices throughout the Diocese served over 42,000 families and individuals. Among the many services Catholic Charities provides are mental health counseling, adoption services and budget counseling as well as immigration and refugee services.
Your gift is Sharing our Faith, and through this support you are helping Judy care for people like Anna. Please join me this year in making a gift to the Bishop’s Appeal.
