This summer will be special for all who love, worked at, attended or send kids to Camp Tekawitha.
Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha, Camp's patron, will soon be St. Kateri Tekakwitha. All camp staff meetings open with a prayer which asks that "our hearts may be enkindled with a stronger desire to imitate her innocence and faith."
What better wish for those who attend camp?
In 2012 Camp will celebrate the sainthood of Kateri Tekakwitha by working so that every young person in the Diocese can attend camp. Last year more than 100 campers received camperships. The need will be even greater this summer.
