Spiritual Enrichment in a Beautiful Natural Setting
The Diocese of Green Bay owns and operates Holy Name Retreat House on Chambers Island in Door County.
Holy Name Retreat House is situated on an island in the Bay of Green Bay. A silent retreat there includes Mass, group prayer, private reading, and spiritual presentations in a beautiful natural setting. The spring, summer and early fall schedule offers mid-week and weekend retreats for men, women, and mixed groups. There are also opportunities for private, self-directed retreats.
Holy Name Retreat House has a new executive director. Barbara Conder of Ely, Minn., assumed her new position at the Diocese of Green Bay’s retreat house in January. She has a master's degree in theological studies and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the retreat house.

August and September RetreatsThere's still time for spiritual renewal with a retreat on beautiful and serene Chambers Island
Since Holy Name Retreat House is located on an island, most retreatants begin their journey at a boat dock in Fish Creek. Here they board our boat, the Quo Vadis, for a 45-minute excursion west to Chambers Island (upper left corner of the map below). To find the boat dock in Fish Creek, take Highway 42 from Sturgeon Bay to Fish Creek. In Fish Creek, go directly to the water's edge. The Retreat House dock and boat are at the end of the street just to the left of the village park. Parking lot map
The map tool below can assist you in getting directions to the boat dock.
By the way, "Quo Vadis" is Latin for "To where are you going?"
