For several years an increasing number of young people have not been confirmed. As young adults, they frequently seek to receive the fullness of the sacraments. Sometimes they are placed in their parish RCIA program. While it can be fruitful, it is not necessarily the best fit, especially because the necessary length of the RCIA program deters some.
Starting in August the Office of Parish Evangelization will again offer an eight-week Adult Confirmation program on the Diocese of Green Bay campus.
This eight-week program is both an opportunity for baptized Catholic adults who have received their First Communion to prepare to receive the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Confirmation and to strengthen their relationship with Jesus.
Each session will combine prayer, discipleship, and mission to present its theme using these resources: Alpha videos, the Bible and references to United States Catholic Catechism for Adults (USCCA).
