Catholic Charities 25th Annual Golf Outing to be Held June 6
GREEN BAY, Wis. (May 9, 2017) -- Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Green Bay has announced that the 25th Annual Spalding Golf Outing will be held Tuesday, June 6, at Thornberry Creek at Oneida.
A new part of this year's event will include "Bishop's Challenge," a competition between parish teams who will play alongside other golfers, but will compete for a cash prize, a traveling trophy, and bragging rights.
Outing Helps Those in Need
The outing will also feature its typical events and hole-in-one prizes, including a trip to Hawaii, Nike Convert 2.0 Irons, a Kindle Fire, and a $500 Visa Card.
"Without the generosity of others, Catholic Charities would not be able to provide services and support to the most vulnerable among us," said Ted Phernetton, Director of Catholic Charities. "Every dollar raised by this event stays right here in Northeast Wisconsin, helping those in need. We are thankful to all who support and attend the event."
Event Named for Past Director
The golf outing is named for Rev. William J. Spalding, past director of Catholic Charities. Cost is $125 per golfer. For registration information, call the Green Bay office of Catholic Charities at (920) 272-8234. To register, please visit www.gbdioc.org/golf. The registration deadline is Friday, May 26.
All proceeds will go to support the programs and endowment of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Green Bay.
