GREEN BAY, Wis. (Oct. 20, 2020) – Bishop David L. Ricken invites those throughout northeast Wisconsin to join him on Monday, Oct. 26 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. for “A Night of Hope.”
“I don’t know about you, but 2020 has me feeling pretty burdened and in need of rest. I think it’s time that we bring our hurts, our pains, our wounds, our suffering to God so that he can give us comfort and restoration,” shared Bishop Ricken. “To help you do this, I want to invite all of you to join me in ‘A Night of Hope’ on Monday, Oct. 26. We will host a simple, virtual retreat where we will pray together and ask for the Lord’s guidance in our lives so that we can continue to live in hope.”
We all carry burdens in life, burdens that weigh us down and cause us to be anxious of heart and mind. This year has been especially difficult for many, and yet there is reason to hope. Living in hope means that we can give a name to our hope and that name is Jesus Christ, who offers us comfort and strength. Jesus knows our burdens better than anyone else and offers himself freely to us so we can find rest in our soul.
