Serve

Serve

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Green Bay supports the diocesan goal of Reclaiming Sunday by inviting individuals and families to make Sunday not only a day of worship and rest, but also a day of service to others, especially those who are poor and vulnerable. This invitation connects the celebration of the Eucharist with living out our faith through acts of charity and love of neighbor. Catholic Charities encourages simple acts of service such as volunteering at food pantries, visiting those who are homebound, supporting parish outreach efforts, or helping families in need within the community. These efforts are not meant to make Sunday another busy day, but to reclaim its deeper purpose—a day centered on God, family, community, and compassion for others. By serving those in need, we encounter Christ in a meaningful way and strengthen our communities while living out the Gospel message. Through this invitation to serve, Catholic Charities helps individuals and parishes see Sunday as a day that renews both faith and service, bringing the love of Christ to those who need it most.
